Geronimo La Russa elected president of the Italian Automobile Club (ACI): "A larger majority than last time."

ROME – The Automobile Club d'Italia ( ACI) assembly has elected Geronimo La Russa as its 19th president for the four-year term 2025-2028. This is according to a statement from the ACI, which emphasizes that "the automobile association returned to elect its leader through the ballot box with a larger majority than last time, when more candidates competed in 2012: La Russa received over 78% of the 2,112 votes representing all eligible voters."

Born in Milan on April 2, 1980, Geronimo La Russa, married with two daughters, is a lawyer, president of the Automobile Club of Milan and has previously held the position of vice president of the association.

Following the resignation of Angelo Sticchi Damiani, who left the top position at ACI last February after 13 years and four terms, the name of the son of the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, was in the running for succession together with that of Giuseppina Fusco , director of ACI Roma.
